LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A man is facing charges after hitting a Laredo police car and then leading police on a chase through the city.

Laredo Police Department officers said they were investigating a fight near South Louisiana Avenue and Ligarde Street when a car drove away and hit an empty patrol car.

The suspect started driving southbound on Zapata Highway. Then, he crashed into three other cars during the chase.

Two people from those cars were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver will be facing criminal charges after he is released from the hospital.
