Princess Anne has arrived in Sydney to begin a military-focused tour of Australia, marking her first visit to the country since 2022.

The 75-year-old Princess Royal touched down at Sydney Airport around 7am on Saturday, swamped by security, to begin what will be a significant royal engagement across three Australian cities.

Princess Anne is in Australia to mark the 100th anniversary of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals, of which she is the Colonel-in-Chief.

The corps provides vital communications support to the Defence Force.

The Princess wasted no time getting to business, inspecting troops at Government House as eager Sydneysiders watched from the gates.
