'Kids are lighting fireworks in their hands and throwing them towards people'

Police have responded after reports of kids lighting fireworks and throwing them at people in the street.

Officers in Bolton say they have received 'numerous reports' tonight (Saturday, November 8) of fireworks being thrown in the Queens Park area, and the Boardman Street area of Halliwell.

They say a number of youths have been stopped and searched.

And in a post on their Bolton district Facebook page, they sent a message to parents.

"If your children are out this evening, do you know where they are and what they are doing?" the post said.
