SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Springfield Veterans Day Parade marched through downtown earlier today, marking its second year back after a six-year hiatus.

Organized by Ozarks Elder Law, the parade has received an enthusiastic response from the Springfield community since its return last year.

Local veteran organizations had previously organized the parade until it was paused in 2016.

Veterans Brenda and Robert Seely expressed their happiness to see the event back in action and shared appreciation for the community's support.

"I look forward to it every year. It's like I'm going to cry," said Brenda Seely.

"I'm just thankful that Springfield let us bring it back," said a local Robert Seely.
