WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Ohio State cornerback Jermaine Mathews has a message for the rest of college football.
The Buckeyes are 9-0, winning their last eight games by at least three scores while having arguably the nation’s best defense and two Heisman Trophy candidates on offense.
They’ve meticulously navigated their way through the season while never having to go full throttle to control games and walk away with impressive wins. And it seems like they’re not even close to being a finished product.
“It’s (because of) the message Coach (Ryan) Day is giving us every week," Mathews said after a 34-10 win over Purdue . “Just staying consistent and playing our Buckeye football.”
