California Highway Patrol officers chased a woman and man in a gold Lexus through several East Bay cities Friday before arresting the woman. The man, however, got away on foot, officials said.
Just after 4 p.m. on Friday in Oakland, the Lexus was identified as suspicious after connecting the vehicle to a reported theft, a CHP spokesperson said Saturday.
The CHP initiated a chase of the Lexus, which was occupied by a man and woman, across several interstates. The duo traversed across parts of Interstate Highways 880, 238 and 680, according to the CHP.
Video of the chase shared by KTVU appeared to show the driver of the vehicle swerving into oncoming traffic during the pursuit to avoid an officer. KTVU also reported the driver appeared to travel through areas near Oakland, Hayward, Dublin
