The Detroit Pistons are still waiting on some reinforcements at the point guard spot, but it’ll take a while longer before it comes.

Backup point guard Marcus Sasser has yet to make his season debut as his status with a right hip impingement has pushed make his availability since the start of the season. The Pistons finally put some of the mystique behind his absence behind as the team announced he will remain out to continue his rehab and will be re-evaluated in about four weeks.

Sasser played in a pair of preseason games for the Pistons before getting off the court due to his hip injury. The third-year guard spent early time alongside veteran guard Caris LeVert and Jaden Ivey — who had an arthroscopic procedure done just ahead of the season — on the injury report.
