MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - The Vermont Republican Party chose its next leader today.

At a meeting of the VTGOP Saturday, delegates cast ballots for who should be the new party chair.

Russ Ingalls and Paul Dame faced off, with Ingalls getting 47 votes and Dame getting slightly more at 50.

By that margin, Dame will stay Party Chair heading into 2026.

Zak Harvey won Vice Chair Position with 53 votes, Will Coeb had 23, and Greg Thayer got 22.
