LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The investigation into the catastrophic UPS plane crash tragedy is ongoing and investigators are still combing through the wreckage of flight 2976 just south of Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.

Mayor Craig Greenberg shared a brief update on Saturday regarding mail found at the crash site.

He says the U.S. Postal Service told them the FBI has directed mail collected from the site to be dropped off at any local post office.

“It is no longer necessary to be collected and turned in as part of the investigation,” he said on X .

Investigators and other officials are still trying to determine what caused the MD-11 jet’s left engine to fall off shortly after takeoff on Nov 4.
