UofL College of Business graduate identified as victim of UPS plane crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One of the 14 victims involved in the UPS Plane Crash has been identified.

University of Louisville College of Business identified Matt Sweets, a 2011 graduate, as one of the victims from Tuesday's crash in a Facebook post .

"We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Matt Sweets, a 2011 BSBA in Marketing graduate from the University of Louisville College of Business."

Matt passed away on Thursday, November 6, after suffering critical burns. He is survived by his partner, Brooke Murray and their two children.

Carrie Ryan, Sweets' sister and 2013 UofL graduate, said in a Facebook post, "He had a way of making everyone feel seen and cared for. Our hearts are shattered, and we're struggling to grasp that he's truly gone."
