LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - On Saturday, children in grades kindergarten through sixth grade participated in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics activities at the 2025 STEAM Festival at Lansing Community College.

The festival allowed kids and their families to explore various STEAM-themed activities for free.

Event organizer Alicia Musser said the festival aims to make learning less intimidating for young students.

“This is aimed at kindergartners through sixth graders to just expose them to all of this stuff so hopefully one day when they get a chance to take a science class, a math class, or an art class, it’s not intimidating, it’s something they look forward to,” Musser said.

The STEAM Festival has been educating children for more than 30 years.
