A Palmyra woman and man are facing multiple animal cruelty charges following a months-long dog law investigation, Western Lebanon County Regional Police announced on Saturday, Nov. 8.
Brooklyn Taylor Cordell, 25, and Trei Anthony Gilcrist, 32, were each charged with two counts of Felony Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, Misdemeanor Cruelty to Animals, and Misdemeanor Neglect of Animals, according to police and court dockets.
These charges are the result of a dog law investigation that began on May 11, 2025, in the 300 block of North Chestnut Street in Palmyra, police said. Cordell and Gilcrist were both charged on Oct. 30, 2025, following a criminal complaint filed by Officer Dylan J. Murphy of the Western Lebanon County Regional Police Department.
Court records show both cases remain active and are awaiting preliminary hearings before Magisterial District Judge David R. Warner Jr. on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. in Lebanon County Central Court.
Cordell, of Palmyra, and Gilcrist, also of Palmyra, have not yet been fingerprinted and did not request public defender representation, according to docket information.
The Lebanon County District Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case.
