House of Heroes CT has fixed nearly 300 houses of veterans and their spouses and this year the organization say it plans to do 37 more.
“We couldn't be more proud to be out here to thank our veterans for their service to our country,” said Executive Director Carol May.

With Veterans Day on Tuesday, several students from Quinnipiac University came out to help fix up homes.
“It's really rewarding feeling,” said junior Tindara Studnick. “I would say like it's nice to be able to help others and like, see them like smile.”
Air Force veteran Mark Chesanek says he’s grateful. The 72-year-old is a disabled veteran who served in the military from 1972 to 1976.
