Governor Ned Lamont announced that all Connecticut SNAP recipients have full benefits on their EBT cards for the month of November.

He made the announcement Saturday afternoon, a day after he said the state would fund SNAP .

The Key Food Supermarket in Hartford was packed with customers, most of them SNAP recipients, shopping for groceries Saturday evening.

“I had nothing in my house, nothing at all. My fridge is empty and now that I checked, I'm like, oh, my God, I can eat. I thought Thanksgiving was going to be nothing, because a lot of people rely on their food stamps to for Thanksgiving. I'm so glad that they gave it back" said Yandel Reyes.

About 65% of the funding is from the federal government as a result
