LEXINGTON, Ky. (WCJB) - Florida quarterback DJ Lagway was benched in a 38-7 loss to the Kentucky Wildcats Friday night at Kroger Field in Lexington.
Kentucky (4-5, 2-5 SEC) scored all five of its touchdowns from the second quarter on after the Gators (3-6, 2-4 SEC) led 7-3 in the first.
Florida has now lost four of its last five matchups against the Wildcats.
Tramell Jones Jr. replaced Lagway in the second half after Lagway threw three interceptions in the first half.
Jones was 9 of 17 (60%) passing for 60 yards. Lagway was 11 of 19 (58%) for 83 yards, a touchdown along with the three interceptions.
Kentucky had one of its best offensive performances of the season thus far.
The Wildcats had 401 yards of offense, 233 rushing and 168 passing.
