Princess Anne has made her first official appearance in Sydney on the first day of her tour in Australia , visiting the Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park to mark Remembrance.

The 75-year-old was greeted at the centre of the city by army personnel, as well as fans old and young.

The Princess Royal wore a black dress with a collar that popped over a white jacket, with a poppy and gold brooch pinned on her left side.

Her hair was in her signature bouffant, though it was slightly deflated for the occasion.

Her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, stood beside her throughout the entire event, wearing a navy suit decorated with his many medals and a red poppy.
