Madison Brocklehurst netted a second-half go-ahead goal to push third-seeded and No. 15 in the NJ.com Top 20 Bridgewater-Raritan to a 2-1 win over sixth-seeded Scotch Plains-Fanwood in the quarterfinals of the North 2, Group 4 tournament, in Bridgwater.
The Panthers (13-8) will face second-seeded Ridge in the semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Bridgewater-Raritan is 2-0 against Ridge this season with a 2-1 win in the Somerset County quarterfinals and a 4-1 regular season win.
Sarah Mihansky gave the Raiders (11-6-1) a 1-0 lead by scoring in the opening half. Reese Reimann tied the game for the Panthers in the second half by converting a goal off an assist from Hayden Tormasi.
Brooke Engstrom made four saves in the win.
Jenna Lourenco recorded seven saves for Scotch Plains-Fanwood.
