INDIANAPOLIS — Two participants in the 2025 CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon died following "medical emergencies," organizers said Saturday.

According to a statement from Beyond Monumental , the organization that puts on the Monumental Marathon, two participants died following separate, unrelated medical emergencies following their transport to local hospitals.

Officials say the on-side medical team and other first responders provided immediate care.

"We are working closely with medical and public safety officials and will continue to offer our full support," the statement read in part.
