NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — The former Fort Wayne Mad Ants are now the Noblesville Boom, and they made their home debut in front of a sold-out crowd on Saturday at The Arena at Innovation Mile.
Thousands of fans cheered them on at the new arena, including Trent and Cole Deer from Fishers.
"I'm excited about the arena," Trent Deer said. "I'm excited about the fact that now we are able to see tomorrow's Pacers right here in Noblesville."
"I'm happy that we don't have to go all the way down to Indianapolis to get to a game," Cole Deer said.
Boom head coach Tom Hankins said they are excited to build a new fan base in Noblesville. On a Boom-themed night at a recent Pacers game, he got to meet those fans.
