BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WLOX) - The 9th annual Mermaids Arts and Crafts Show hit old town Bay St. Louis Saturday.
From 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., thousands of people lined the booths, ready to get their hands on some holiday gifts.
The Krewe of Nereids puts the show on each year. Chairperson Mary Ann Pucheu says there’s something for everyone at the event.
“We have vendors from all over the South, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama. They come here to show their handmade items. They’re all handcrafted,” Pucheu said. “They can walk through the park. It’s a shady park and just enjoy the music.”
Glenn Hood with Waveland Candle Company said thousands come out and shop because of the event’s location and the variety of booths.
