OMAHA, Neb. — The relationship between Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear and former President Joe Biden, both prominent Democrats, was on display Friday in Omaha, Nebraska , as both spoke to hundreds of state party faithful at a fundraising gala.
It was Biden’s first speech at a public political event since leaving office, and in his address, he credited Beshear for his leadership during Kentucky’s devastating natural disasters over the last few years.
“This guy knows what he's doing. He does it well, and he doesn't ask whether it's a red or blue part of the state. He just gets it done,” Biden said.
Beshear spoke first, leading a standing ovation for Biden.
