New Mexico families have received 100% of their November SNAP benefits, according to Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham's office, amid the ongoing government shutdown.
Rep. Melanie Stansbury expressed optimism about the situation Friday, saying, "We're hopeful, like I said, that in the next 24 hours, the federal November SNAP subsidies will actually hit people's accounts."
On Saturday, for New Mexico SNAP recipients, they did.
So what about the special session scheduled for Monday, Nov. 10? Initially, the plan for this session was to focus on SNAP benefits. Still, the session is going as planned.
