The NFL has never played a regular-season game in Berlin, but that changes this week.
Has the league ever put on a game in Germany before?
Week 10's clash between the Indianapolis Colts and Atlanta Falcons may be the first NFL game in Berlin, but it's also the fifth to take place in Germany. The NFL has played at least one game in Germany each of the last three seasons – including two in 2023.
However, each of those first four games took place in either Munich or Frankfurt – the third- and fifth-largest cities in Germany by population, respectively – but never in the nation's capital, Berlin, which is also its most populous.
Last year, the Carolina Panthers defeated the New York Giants, 20-17, in front of more than 70,000 fans at Allianz Arena in Munich. It was the second game in the NFL International Series' history to be decided in overtime.

Has the NFL ever had a game in Germany?
Sunday's game between the Colts and Falcons will be the fifth NFL regular-season game to take place in Germany. It will be the first ever to take place in Berlin, after two games in Munich and two in Frankfurt over the last three seasons.

The NFL played its first international game in 2005, but didn't start its "International Series" until 2007.
