The price of a domestic vegetarian thali in Indian households has decreased by 17% (annually) now at ₹27.8 in October. Last year in October 2024, the price of a veg thali was Rs 33.3. Capital market company Credit Rating Information Services of India Limited (CRISIL) provided this information in its monthly indicator of food plate cost.

CRISIL stated in its Rice Roti Rate (RRR) report that the price of a vegetarian thali decreased by 1% in October compared to September. In September, the price of a veg thali was Rs 28.1.

Non-veg Thali also became 12% cheaper

Meanwhile, the price of a non-veg thali decreased by 12% on an annual basis to Rs 54.4 in October. Last year in October 2024, the price of a non-veg thali was Rs 61.6.
