Motherwell’s head of girls and women’s teams will depart Fir Park next month to take on a similar role at rivals Celtic.
Paul Brownlie, who has been at Fir Park since 2021, will return to Parkhead in December to become their Head of Girls’ Academy, having spent seven years as academy head there between 2008 and 2015.
During Brownlie’s stewardship, the women of steel became the first women’s side to play at Hampden Park in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup against Rangers in 2023 and repeated that feat last season, while also earning a top-six finish in SWPL1.
Brownlie told the Motherwell website: “This has been a really difficult decision.
