An ex- WWE talent and her tag team partner left AEW scrambling backstage while preparing for "Collision." Nixon Newell, formerly known as Tegan Nox in WWE, and Miranda Alize were scheduled to face Anna Jay and Tay Melo this past Saturday. That plan changed, as Hyan and Maya World stepped up at the last minute.

PWInsider initially broke the news that Newell and Alize refused to go through with the match. Fightful later followed up, reporting that Newell and Alize weren't happy with their planned match only lasting three minutes, rather than the outcome of the match.

It was noted that Alize was the more vocal of the two. It was also said that Newell and Alize left the show, and AEW officials are pleased with the professionalism of Hyan and World.
