Police identified the arrested individual as Zafar Iqbal, son of Mohammad Israyel Gojar, a resident of Loorte in Rajouri. He was wanted in connection with Case FIR No. 17/2012 registered under Sections 279 and 338 of the Indian Penal Code at Police Station Gund.
Acting on specific information, a police team from Police Station Gund launched an operation and apprehended the accused after sustained efforts. Following completion of legal formalities, Iqbal was produced before the Judicial Magistrate at Kangan, who remanded him
