In a post on X, CM Omar wrote, “I swear on the Holy Quran that I didn’t seek an alliance with the BJP in 2024 for Statehood or for any other reason.”
He further added, “Unlike Sunil Sharma, I don’t tell lies for a living.”
CM Omar’s remarks came in response to a statement by Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, who had challenged him to “swear on the Quran” that he did not approach the BJP for an alliance in 2024.
