Patidar led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to their maiden IPL title, helping the franchise end a long-standing wait for glory. However, he might have to miss the start of the next season.

Patidar reportedly suffered a muscle tear during the first unofficial Test between India A and South Africa A in Bengaluru last week. While the extent of his injury is not known, the Madhya Pradesh batter did not feature in the second unofficial Test between the two teams, which concluded on Sunday, November 09.
