A new $14 million resource management center designed to expand public access and modernize operations in the Delaware State Forest opened earlier this month in Pike County.
Officials from Gov. Josh Shapiro’s administration dedicated the facility on Monday, Nov. 3, with state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn joining state and local leaders at the ceremony.
“The new Delaware State Forest Resource Management Center will serve as both a hub for forest management and a welcoming point for visitors exploring the natural beauty of this region,” Dunn said in a statement. “This project demonstrates our vision for modern, sustainable facilities that meet the needs of our staff and the public.”
