Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on November 8 proposed the idea of “One District, One Cuisine” to promote the state’s diverse culinary heritage on a global platform, following Lucknow’s recent inclusion in UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network under the ‘Gastronomy’ category.
He stated that the international recognition was not limited to Lucknow alone but was a tribute to the rich and varied cuisine of Uttar Pradesh as a whole.
In a post on X, Adityanath remarked that, in light of the capital city’s selection, it was time for the state’s distinctive culinary traditions and unique flavours to be shared with the world.
“Take a journey through the world of flavours around you or take a photo or video of your home-cooked dishes and share them on social media with #OneDistrictOneCui
