BOULDER, Colo. (KKTV) - Officers arrested a suspect Friday evening in connection with a reported robbery in Boulder.

According to the Boulder Police Department (BPD), officers responded at 6 p.m. Thursday to the McGuckin Hardware at 2525 Arapahoe Ave.

Police said employees reported the suspect was concealing items and then walked past the registers without paying. When the employees confronted the suspect, he allegedly pulled out a gun.

BPD said the employees then backed away, and the suspect walked out of the store.

Officers identified the suspect as Jesse James, 34, and arrested him late Friday evening.

Before the arrest, officers said they found James’s property at a local encampment; the clothes identified in the robbery, and a BB gun matching the description of the weapon used.
