PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — A serious motorcycle crash has closed a major intersection in Peoria on Sunday morning.

At about 7 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the intersection of Peoria Avenue and Grand Avenue , on reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and two vehicles.

The motorcyclist was seriously hurt and was transported to a local hospital, according to the Peoria Police Department.

Avoid the area; the entire intersection is shut down while officers investigate. Westbound lanes are closed at 83rd Avenue, and eastbound lanes are shut down at 85th Avenue.
