Australian singer Dean Lewis has had his TikTok Awards and ARIA nominations revoked following accusations of inappropriate behaviour made by multiple women on social media.
An ARIA spokesperson confirmed Lewis’ withdrawal this morning.
“ARIA has been advised that the artist and his management have requested to withdraw from Song of the Year, which we have now actioned.”
Lewis was also nominated for Music Artist of the Year at the annual TikTok Awards but according to The Daily Telegraph, his management requested the nomination be withdrawn, which TikTok allowed.
The singer posted a lengthy statement to Instagram on October 30, apologising to those he said he had hurt but insisting that all his relationships were both consensual and legal.
