Timnath is headed to the high school football playoffs for the first time in the history of the young program.

The Cubs went 6-4 in the 2025 regular season and landed the No. 14 seed in the Class 3A 16-team playoffs, with the brackets released by CHSAA on Nov. 9.

Timnath will play at No. 3 Palisade (8-2) in the first round. Game day and time is not yet set.

The winner advances to the quarterfinals to face the winner of No. 6 Roosevelt and No. 11 Pueblo County.

It's been a steady rise for the new version of Timnath. The Cubs were 0-8 in their first season in 2022, before 2-7 in 2023 and just missing the playoffs with a 5-5 record in 2024.
