JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — Jacksonville Beach was buzzing with energy as the fifth annual Super Girl Surf Pro wrapped up its final day, bringing some of the best female surfers from around the world to the First Coast.
The festival, which celebrates women in surfing and other sports, drew thousands of spectators who enjoyed the warm weather and cheered on competitors vying for the iconic Super Girl Cape.
Among the surfers making waves was 16-year-old Lanea Mons, a Jacksonville native who has been surfing at the beach since she was 10 years old.
