A West Lothian zoo has announced the celebrity guest who will be turning on their Christmas lights display this year.

Five Sisters Zoo in West Calder shared the exciting news that James Cosmo MBE will be joining them once again for their switch on of the 2025 Five Sisters Zoo Illuminations.

The Scottish actor is known for his roles in Game of Thrones, Highlander, Braveheart, and Trainspotting.

Sharing the news on their Facebook, Five Sisters Zoo wrote: "We’re delighted to announce that friend of the zoo and legendary Scottish actor James Cosmo MBE will be joining us to switch on the 2025 Five Sisters Zoo Illuminations!

"James helped us light up the zoo back in 2019, and we’re thrilled to welcome him back to make this year’s opening night even more magical."
