Bathgate schools attended a special remembrance event at the town’s War Memorial. ‌

Schools in attendance included St Kentigern’s Academy, Bathgate Academy, Windyknowe Primary, Balbardie Primary and Boghall Primary. Pupils, staff, and members of the public gathered together to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in all wars and conflicts. ‌

The event was organised by West Lothian-based veteran’s charity ASA Scotland. ‌

The charity’s chairman, Councillor Harry Cartmill, said: “The young people were great. They read poems, played the violin, and we also heard a school choir singing the old Vera Lynn song ‘We’ll Meet Again.’ It was a truly moving occasion.” READ MORE : West Lothian veteran's charity hand over donation to help Ukrainian soldiers and civ
