We’ve made it through the first quarter at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, and the Minnesota Vikings lead the Baltimore Ravens early by a score of 7-3.
The Ravens got the football first after the Vikings won the coin toss and chose to defer to the second half. The defense got themselves established right away, as they forced the Ravens’ offense into a three-and-out on their opening possession, taking over at their own 14-yard line after the punt. After picking up one third-down conversion, J.J. McCarthy made a second one, as he found Jalen Nailor on a pass that turned into a 62-yard gain down to the Baltimore 4-yard line. Aaron Jones finished things off from there, as he took a handoff and went in for a 4-yard touchdown over the left side to give the Vikings an early 7-0 lead.
