Buffalo Bills rookie Landon Jackson had a major opportunity at more playing time. The defensive end left with a knee injury early in the first quarter against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Jackson was hurt on his second snap of the game. He came off the left edge on a run by Ollie Gordon and fought off a block before falling backward. Jackson immediately brought his right knee to his chest and grabbed it in pain.
Jackson was ruled out for the game shortly after.
Jackson, who was the No. 72 overall pick in the third round of the draft, was only playing in his third game after being a healthy scratch in six games.
Jackson's injury means the Bills will play the rest of the game with three healthy defensive ends: Greg Rousseau, Javon Solomon and Joey Bosa.
