A 19-year-old was killed when she was struck by a vehicle in Tuscaloosa before Saturday’s Alabama-LSU football.
Tuscaloosa police and paramedics were called to the scene at the intersection of Jack Warner Parkway and Queen City Avenue shortly after 4:15 p.m. That location is near the Tuscaloosa River Market.
Police spokeswoman Stephanie Tayler said the victim, who was from Tallapoosa County, was crossing Jack Warner when she was struck by a westbound vehicle.
The driver, a 40-year-old Tuscaloosa woman, stopped her vehicle nearby and spoke with officers.
