WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – As winter weather arrives, many areas in West Virginia could see at least an inch of snow, raising the possibility of school closures.
Teachers, students, and families can check the likelihood of a snow day using an online tool called the Snow Day Calculator which can be accessed by clicking here.
Created by an MIT student, the calculator uses data from the National Weather Service to predict school closures.
Users simply enter their zip code to see the chances of a snow day in their district as the snow moves closer.
