MANKATO, Minn. — A man died from gunshot wounds in Mankato on Sunday morning.

According to the press release, the Mankato Department of Public Safety received reports of a shooting in the area of Holly Lane at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Authorities said they located the man dead inside a vehicle on the 1600 block of Madison Avenue. Law enforcement believes the victim drove to the area but later died from his injuries.

Shortly after, officers arrested a suspect and recovered a firearm.

At this time, the identities of the victim and the suspect are being withheld.
