Chilling video obtained by The Post reveals the first look inside a charred apartment at the Brooklyn building where a ferocious blaze broke out Saturday night, leaving veteran hero firefighter Patrick Brady dead.
The apartment at the Kings Highway building was destroyed by flames, with its contents blackened and ruined, according to the footage and the building superintendent.
“I see lighters on the bed,” the building’s superintendent told The Post. “The ones investigating, they found them in there.
“She smoked,” he said of one of the residents. “She had cigarettes in the ashtray. She said to me, ‘Oh, I fell asleep, I was sleeping, I was sleeping.’ “
The FDNY has not announced the cause of the 9:30 p.m. blaze and did not respond to Post questions about which apartment the blaze start
