DETROIT – One team was unstoppable on the power play, the other had ample opportunities and couldn’t covert.
The Detroit Red Wings’ struggles offensively and with the man-advantage continued Sunday in a 5-1 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks at Little Caesars Arena.
The Blackhawks got power-play goals from Connor Bedard, Teuvo Teravainen and Tyler Bertuzzi. The Red Wings went 0 for 5 on the power play.
Detroit (9-7-0) has lost three in a row, scoring two goals in the process and has tallied only four goals in its past four. Much of that has to do with a power play that is 0 for 13 in four games.
The Blackhawks (8-5-3) have won three in a row under former Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill.
