FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Former "Voice of the Basketball Razorbacks" Mike Nail has died.
The official Facebook page for the Arkansas Razorbacks said Nov. 9 the program was saddened by Nail's passing.
"He was the Voice of the Basketball Razorbacks for nearly 30 years, including Arkansas’ 1993-94 National Championship season and three trips to the Final Four," Arkansas Razorbacks said. "Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones."
Nail retired from his job following the 2009-10 season, a decision he said was not made quickly.
“This is not a decision reached in haste, rather something I’ve given considerable thought and consideration and something I’ve talked extensively about with my wife and family," Nail said at the time.
Throughout his career with the Hogs, he called over 900 games,
