ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Brandy is just one of the many pups over at Animal Humane New Mexico waiting for her forever home.
"So Brandy is approximately four and a half years old. This sweet, silly girl. We've had her for over five months, close to six months now in our care," expressed Associate Director of Marketing for Animal Human, Madison Beets.
Beets explained that Brandy was just diagnosed with an endocrine disease known as hypothyroidism. "So that is a very treatable and manageable condition in both pets and people, but she is going to need regular blood draws to check her levels and routine medication for the remainder of her life," she said.
