Princess Anne has laid a wreath at the Victoria Police Memorial in Melbourne in honour of the two officers shot dead at Porepunkah in August.
The Princess Royal is on a four-day tour of Australia which includes official events in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
On Monday, she attended a ceremony in Kings Domain Gardens on the edge of Melbourne's CBD to commemorate police officers killed in the line of duty.
She was accompanied by her husband Sir Timothy Laurence.
Detective Leading Senior Constable Neal Thompson and Senior Constable Vadim de Waart-Hottart were killed on August 26 when they went to Dezi Freeman's property in Victoria's north-east to serve a warrant.
A third police officer was seriously injured.
The alleged gunman has not been seen since.
