A LOADED revolver has allegedly been discovered in a motorbike rider's undies after he was pulled over for speeding in the Hunter Valley.
It was just before 12.30am on Sunday when highway patrol police said they attempted to stop a motorbike rider on Wine Country Drive at North Rothbury for going too fast.
Officers spoke with the rider, a 37-year-old man, a short time later and noticed the bike was allegedly fitted with an altered registration plate.
The man was subject to a Firearms Prohibition Order, but when police searched his backpack, they allegedly uncovered an unloaded double-barrelled shotgun.
Officers also say they discovered almost $12,000 in cash, shotgun shells and a drug stash, including white crystals and numerous pills.
Police then allegedly found a loaded smooth-bore
