The Pittsburgh Steelers (5-3) are traveling to play the Los Angeles Chargers (6-3) in an important battle in the AFC conference. A win for either team could solidify their playoff position as the weeks wind down in the 2025 NFL campaign.
Here are some of the best bets that stick out to me before they kick off at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
Anytime TD scorer: Oronde Gadsden II (+175)
Herbert’s new favorite target, Gadsden II, has been a revelation for the Chargers this season after being drafted in the fifth round of the 2025 draft. He has touchdowns in two of the last three games he’s played since turning into Herbert’s partner in crime, and even last week, when he didn’t score, he still had five catches for 68 yards. At home against a Steelers defense that has stumbled at times, look for the tight end out of Syracuse to get into the endzone.
Justin Herbert 3+ touchdowns (+229)
If we’re going with the rookie tight end, believe in the man throwing the ball. This is a primetime game where the microscope will be on Herbert. Pans to the crowd to show his girlfriend, Madison Beer, is all but guaranteed. Although losing his personal bodyguard in Joe Alt for the season is going to set the Chargers back long-term, they made some savvy moves at the deadline that will hopefully help Herbert have a big game against a beatable Steelers secondary.
DK Metcalf 5+ receptions (+148)
When you need a win, go to your best guys. Metcalf has had a relatively quiet season in Pittsburgh so far. I’m looking for Aaron Rodgers to get his dynamic wideout the ball tonight after barely going to him last week against the Indianapolis Colts.
